This Privacy Policy applies to the services offered by Wallage Recruitment Group (ABN 36 006 773 520) including the website www.wallage.com.au

Wallage Recruitment Group is committed to protecting the confidentiality of our Client and Candidate information and is dedicated to ensuring that personal information provided to us is protected against misuse.

We fully comply with our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 and Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and have created procedures which protect customer privacy with regard to the collection, storage and disclosure of personal information.

Collection of Personal Information

Wallage Recruitment collects personal information which tends to fall into the following categories:

  • candidate personal information (ie. name, contact details, education, work history) which is obtained from the Candidate and other sources in connection with employment applications;
  • work performance information;
  • information gained in order to assist in managing our client and other professional relationships and
  • we undertake search activity.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

Wallage Recruitment uses and discloses personal information for the following reasons:

  • to assist in the recruitment process;
  • to establish and maintain candidate relationships;
  • to establish and maintain client and professional relationships;
  • for marketing of products/services/new developments which we believe may be of interest and
  • to third parties to assist in the recruitment process (ie. psychometric evaluations) or to prospective employers (with candidate prior consent).

Security

Wallage Recruitment will endeavour to ensure that all personal information is kept secure. We have technological and operational procedures in place to protect all personal information from loss or misuse. Our IT system is protected by a one way firewall which utilises network address translation to protect our internal network from external access.

Contractors

Wallage Recruitment outsources part of its IT function (maintenance and database enhancements) on occasion. We will ensure that our contractors fully comply with the Act.

Access and Correction

Individuals are able to access the personal information that Wallage Recruitment holds about them by contacting our Privacy Officer. Access to information is subject to some exceptions outlined in the National Privacy Principles.

We are unable to provide access if doing so would interfere with the privacy rights of another individual.

If you wish to gain access to your personal information:

  • please call (03) 9690 1988 and ask for a Personal Information Request Form to be sent to you;
  • then return the completed form to Wallage Recruitment’s Privacy Officer.

Wallage Recruitment will endeavour to be back in contact with you within 30 days.

Should you wish to delete or update your details, please write to our Privacy Officer with the request to delete or correct the information. We will take reasonable steps to update or delete your information. However on occasion we may refuse to update or delete your personal information, at which time a suitable reason will be provided. In the case of an update, we will make a note on your personal information that you have disputed its accuracy.

A reasonable amount may be charged for providing access to your personal information.


Opting Out

Customers (client/business contacts or candidates) are able to elect not to receive promotional or marketing material from Wallage Recruitment at any time. Please contact our Privacy Officer to arrange to be removed from our database.


Our Website

Our website does not collect any personal information from users unless you complete the on-line registration form for contracting employment.

As with most websites, we are able to track usage patterns, however we are unable to obtain your identity from this information; it is used for statistical purposes only. The information recorded includes:

  • your internet provider;
  • the pages accessed;
  • the referring sites and
  • the date and hour of your visit.

Cookies

A cookie is information that a Web site puts on your hard disk so that it can remember something about you at a later time. Typically, a cookie records your preferences when using a particular site. Wallage Recruitment’s website does not make use of cookies.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these organisations. Please contact our Privacy Officer if you have had an adverse experience with a linked website.
