Our Managing Director, Sam Lawson, is a past Vice President of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RSCA), Victoria/Tasmania Division and a past chair of the RCSA’s Ethics Committee. Sam’s leadership and experience ensure the highest professional standards are met across all aspects of our service.

The Wallage Executive team is managed by:
Sam is an Australian-based recruitment executive with 15 years’ experience in board, executive and staff recruitment. He is the Managing Director of two recruitment businesses, Regent Recruitment and Wallage Executive, each with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. He also founded the Australian Personnel Consortium, a national network of recruitment organisations.
Sam has a strong interest in recruitment methodologies, emerging technologies in the industry and recruitment industry developments in general. As a practicing Migration Agent and Real Estate Agent, he is able to advise organisations looking to relocate executives to Australia.
Active in a number of industry bodies, Sam is a past Vice President of the Vic/Tas Division of the recruitment industry’s representative body, the RCSA, and is a past chair of the RCSA’s Ethics Committee. Prior to his involvement in the recruitment sector, he worked in financial services as an Institutional Client Advisor specialising in Equity Derivatives. He currently holds directorships in the recruitment, real estate, tourism and investment sectors.
John brings over 13 years’ experience in executive search and business consulting in private and government practice. He has held executive positions in multinational and national recruitment and HR consulting organisations.
With a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons), a Masters of Engineering Science and an MBA, John worked with Melbourne Water and provided consulting services in Australia and offshore. His roles included General Manager and Partner of Australian engineering consulting firms.
John's contribution to the engineering and management professions has continued through his service to the Monash University Civil Engineering Department advisory board, Victoria University’s Management and IT faculty and La Trobe University Graduate School of Management. John is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, a Member of the Institute of Public Administration Australia, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Member of the Australian Water Association.
